Ithaca Men's Track & Field Team Eyes Fifth Consecutive Empire 8 Title
ITHACA, N.Y.--The Ithaca College men's track & field team will host the Empire 8 Indoor Track & Field Championships at Glazer Arena on Saturday. The Bombers have claimed four straight conference championships and five of the nine crowns contested. The event will kick off at 10:30 a.m.

The Bombers won six of the meet's 15 events and broke two Empire 8 records en route to a 159 first-place tie with Rochester Institute of Technology in 2011. Five All-Empire 8 selections return to compete this season.
Brendan Wilkins (Stonington/Pawcatuck, Conn.) was victorious in the high jump as he qualified for the ECAC Indoor Championships after clearing 1.93 meters to set a new season-best.
Sophomore Nathan Bickell (Annapolis/Annapolis, Md.) placed second in mile run in a season-best 4:26.88.
The 1,600 relay team of Julian Orenstein (Trumbull/Trumbull, Conn.), Brennan Edmonds (Charles O. Dickerson/Ithaca) and two 2011 graduates led the Bombers to victory in a season-best, ECAC qualifying time of 3:25.59.
Edmonds also finished second in the 400 dash having crossed the line in 51.81, while Dan Craighead (Ithaca/Ithaca) was the runner-up in the 5K in 15:30.87.
