ITHACA, N.Y. - The Ithaca women's basketball team (10-2, 2-0 Empire 8) ran out to a big lead and went on to a 69-48 win over Nazareth (7-4, 1-1 Empire 8) on Saturday afternoon at Ben Light Gymnasium. Ithaca ended Nazareth's five-game winning streak, and it was the Bombers' fifth win this season by 20 points or more.

Sophomore guard Kathryn Campbell (Wall/Wall, N.J.) led Ithaca with 18 points.

The Bombers held Nazareth without a field goal in the game's first 7:40 and ran out to a 16-1 lead in the process. The lead grew to as many as 30 points in the second half. Nazareth was just 4-for-24 from the field in the first half and the Bombers led 39-16 at the break.

Senior guard Jessica Farley (Pine Valley Central/South Dayton) had 11 points and a team-high three steals for the Bombers. She was 7-for-10 from the free-throw line. Sophomore guard Mary Kate Tierney (Our Lady of Mercy/Rochester) had seven points in her second game for Ithaca after joining the team between semesters.

Junior forward Devin Shea (St. Basil Academy/Huntingdon Valley, Pa.) and sophmore forward Jenn Escobido (Norwich Free Academy/Lisbon, Conn.) had eight rebounds each to lead Ithaca in that department. The Bombers had a season-high 55 rebounds in the game, the highest total for Ithaca since pulling down 57 boards in a Jan. 9, 2007 game against Elmira.

Shea led Ithaca with six assists.
