Donovan Collects 600th Win as a Bomber Volleyball Coach
ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College volleyball team (11-11) defeated visiting Oneonta (16-10), 3-1 (27-25, 16-25, 25-23, 29-27), Tuesday evening at Ben Light Gymnasium as head coach Janet Donovan recorded her 600th victory at the helm of the Ithaca volleyball program. Donovan has 624 total victories during her 22-year career as a head coach, including 24 amassed at Keuka College during the 1990 season.
With the win, Ithaca improved to 52-9 all-time against Oneonta, including a flawless 22-0 record against the Red Dragons in Ben Light Gymnasium.
The Bombers return to action on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 20-21 at the Empire 8 Crossover at Utica. Ithaca will face St. John Fisher Saturday at 7 p.m. and Utica and Nazareth Sunday at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., respectively.
