NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Ithaca College men's cross country team is ranked eighth in the Atlantic Region week seven/pre-regional poll announced Tuesday by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. The Bombers were also ranked eighth in the USTFCCCA week six poll.

The only Empire 8 institution receiving recognition, Ithaca ran to a first-place finish out of eight teams on Saturday at the eight-kilometer Empire 8 Cross Country Championships at Saratoga Spa State Park. Senior Nathan Bickell placed first out of 82 runners as the Bombers recorded just 32 points in winning their third consecutive Empire 8 title and sixth since the conference began sponsoring the sport in 2003. It is the fifth time an Ithaca student-athlete has won individual honors.

Seven Bombers earned All-Empire 8 honors. Three tallied first-team recognition and four collected second-team accolades.

The Bombers return to the course on Saturday, Nov. 10 at the NCAA Atlantic Region Championships hosted by Rochester.
