NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Ithaca College women's cross country team is ranked seventh in the Atlantic Region week seven/pre-regional poll announced Tuesday by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. The Bombers were ranked ninth in the USTFCCCA week six poll.

The only Empire 8 institution receiving recognition, Ithaca ran to a first-place finish out of eight teams on Saturday at the five-kilometer Empire 8 Cross Country Championships at Saratoga Spa State Park. Tallying just 27 points, the Bombers remain the only school to win the title since the conference began sponsoring the sport in 2003.

Nine Bombers ran season-best times to earn All-Empire 8 honors. Five tallied first-team recognition and four collected second-team accolades.

The Bombers return to the course on Saturday, Nov. 10 at the NCAA Atlantic Region Championships hosted by Rochester.
