Li Named E8 Athlete of the Week
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Sophomore Sharon Li placed second overall in the individual standings and led Ithaca to a second-place finish at the Williams Fall Invitational over the weekend. She was named Empire 8 Women’s Golf Athlete of the Week for the fourth time this season.
Li held the tournament lead after the opening round by posting a 1-over-par 72. After carding a 75 on day two, she finished the tournament with a total score of 147. The Bombers finished only behind nationally-ranked #6 Williams, which was playing the tournament on its home course of Taconic Country Club.
The Bombers return to action on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 13-14 at the Pat Clouse Invitational at Wittenberg.
