Stevens dropped from sixth to seventh in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Poll despite winning their only contest of last week 2-0 over Ithaca College for the team’s fifth-straight shutout. The Ducks are also ranked No. 1 in the NCAA East Region.

Stevens Institute of Technology men’s soccer team will play its Empire 8 semifinal matchup with Elmira College on a neutral field in Utica, New York on Friday, November 2 at 1 pm. This change is due to the effects of Hurricane Sandy in the Hoboken area.

The game will be available both on www.Empire8.tv and via live stats at http://www.sidearmstats.com/utica/msoc/scoreboard.aspx.

If victorious on Friday, the Ducks will play the Empire 8 Championship match on Sunday at a site to be determined.

In national statistical news, junior Goalkeeper Paul Killian (Ellicott City,Md.) is now the owner of the third-best save percentage in the country at 90.2 percent, and is sixth nationally in goals-against average. Senior Victor Daza (North Plainfield, N.J.) is also ranked among the top-100 in four statistical categories.
