Weil and Zavadska Ranked Nationally
Elmira senior Sasha Zavadska and Ithaca senior Marissa Weil rank in the top 20 individually in the latest statistical categories released by the NCAA.
Zavadska is ranked 17th in the country in kills per set with 4.04 per game. Meanwhile, Weil ranks 20th with a kill per set average of 3.97.
Zavadska also comes in at 19th in points per set at 4.62.
The Soaring Eagles as a team also rank 78th in assists per set (11.03) and 92nd in kills per set (11.92).
Elmira and Ithaca return to action this weekend in Empire 8 Volleyball Tournament on Saturday and Sunday hosted by the Soaring Eagles. Elmira squares off with Nazareth in the first semifinal on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. The Bombers face Stevens Institute of Technology at 2 p.m.
