Four Field Hockey Players Selected to NFHCA Senior Game
Hartwick forward Kelsey Kimble, Nazareth midfielder Kailee O’Hara and Washington and Jefferson’s Erin Barno and Jennifer Marabella were selected for the 2012 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Senior All-Star game. Sixty players from across Division III were selected to compete.
Kimble led the Hawks this season with 12 goals, seven assists, and 31 points. She ended her Hartwick career with 38 goals and 94 points, which put her in sixth place all-time in both categories.
O'Hara, was the Golden Flyers leading scorer in 2012 with 25 points on 11 goals, three assists. She finished her career as the program's No. 3 all-time leading scorer with 77 points on 29 goals, 19 assists. Her assist total ranks first all-time.
Barno and Marabella were the Presidents’ top scorers during the season. Marabella ranked fifth in the Empire 8 Conference with 13 goals and tenth with 27 points, while Barno was the league’s 11th-leading scorer with 25 points (10g, 5a).
The duo are two of the top scorers in school history as both rank among the top three all-time in both points and goals. Marabella owns five W&J career scoring records, including owning school records for total points (128) and goals (59). Barno is tied for the school record with 21 assists and ranks third in total points (83) and goals (31).
This year's game will be held after the NCAA semifinals on November 17th on the campus of William Smith College. Game time will be at 4 p.m.
