Louise Moores Earns Second E8 Swimmer of the Week Nod

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Junior
Louise Moores (Mukilteo, Wash.) of the Stevens Institute of Technology women’s swimming team was named the Empire 8 Swimmer of the Week, it was announced Monday evening.
Moores helped Stevens to its second-straight dual-meet win, downing host New York University, 147-100 in Manhattan.
The junior earned her first individual win with an NCAA B-cut time of 57.78 in the 100-yard backstroke. She also took the top spot in the 100-yard butterfly clocking a 58.54. The Washington state native contributed to a pair of winning relays as well, notching a backstroke split of 26.72 in the 200-medley and a 53.20 in the 400-free. The groups turned in times of 1:50.67 in the 200-medley and 3:40.76 in the 400-free.
Stevens will now turn its attention toward the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships in East Meadow, N.Y. scheduled to run from November 30 – December 2.
