Bickell and Hitchcock Run to Career-Bests at NCAA Championships
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Senior Nathan Bickell and freshman Sawyer Hitchcock both clocked career-best eight-kilometer times on Saturday at the NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country Championships hosted by Rose-Hulman.
Bickell placed 127th out of 280 runners with a time of 25:52.80 and
Hitchcock followed in 149th place with a 26:01.50 finish. The race concludes the cross country season.
The Bombers were last represented at the NCAA Championship meet in 2010 when
William Way ran to all-America honors with a 25th-place finish out of 279 runners. He completed the eight-kilometer course in a career-best 24:47.80. Eight Ithaca athletes have earned all-America accolades in program history. The Bombers have raced as a team at the championships nine times.
