Regan and Ithaca Compete at NCAA Championships
The #32 Ithaca College women's cross country team and freshman Amy Regan of the Stevens Institute of Technology team competed at the NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Championships on Saturday hosted by Rose-Hulman. The Bombers placed 30th in the six-kilometer race, while Regan ran a personal best time of 22:07.7.
Johns Hopkins University won the team championship with 158 points, while Christy Cazzola of the University of Wisconsin-Osh Kosh claimed the individual title with a time of 20:55.2.
Regan placed 40th overall out of 277 total competitors on the 6K LaVern Gibson course. Only nine seconds separated the freshman from earning All-American recognition and she was the sixth top freshman at the meet.
Ithaca sophomore Alexa Rick led the Bombers with a 141st-place finish out of 277 runners. She clocked a time of 23:00.20. Classmate Emily recorded a 23:04.20 finish to place 147th. Freshman Anna Fay third for the Blue & Gold with a 174th-place finish of 23:16.20.
Sophomores Carolyn Malone and Anastasia Diamond followed in 213th and 253rd places, respectively. Malone crossed the finish line in 23:34.00 and Diamond did so in 24:04.90.
Senior Carly Graham race to a 257th-place finish of 24:19.20. Freshman Jaime LIsack rounded out the Bombers' top seven with a 258th-place finish. She clocked a 24:20.00 finish.
The race concludes the women's cross country season.
