Men’s Basketball Player – Stevens Institute of Technology
Sheldon Jones, Senior, Guard – Queens, NY/Townsend
 
Sheldon Jones was named the MVP of the Comfort Inn Tip-Off Tournament, helping Stevens to a 2-0 start with wins over Centenary College and No. 20 William Paterson University. Jones scored 16 points in a drubbing of the host Cyclones, before pouring in a game-high 23 as the Ducks downed the nationally-ranked Pioneers in the title game. Jones shot 16-for-24 (67 percent) from the field and 7-for-9 (77 percent) from three-point land. In total, he averaged 19.5 points, four rebounds and an assist in 29 minutes, while adding one steal and one block.
 
Men’s Basketball Rookie – St. John Fisher
Chaz Lott, Guard – Wynantskill, NY/Christian Brothers Academy
 
Chaz Lott helped St. John Fisher to season opening wins over Fredonia and Hilbert. Lott totaled 19 points, 11 assists and eight rebounds as he started both games. He shot 53.3 percent from the field and 75 percent from the arc.
 
Women’s Basketball Player – Houghton College
Kristen Moose, Junior, Guard – Swain, NY/Canaseraga
 
Kristen Moose averaged 19 points and 11.5 rebounds per game as the Highlanders opened the season with two victories and she was named the MVP of the Turkey Drive Classic. She scored 27 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in the season-opening win over Penn State Greater Allegheny on Friday night. She added 11-points in the Highlanders win over Pitt-Bradford Saturday afternoon. She shot 44.4% from the floor including 75% from the line and averaged three assists per game.
 
Women’s Basketball Rookie – Nazareth College
Lindsey Kelly, Center – Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks East
 
Lindsey Kelly averaged 15.3 points and 6.3 rebounds in the Golden Flyers' first three games. She opened up career with six points and a game-high nine boards against Fredonia Thursday night. Kelly scored a game-high 21 points as Nazareth rallied for a 58-55 win over Keuka Saturday and added a team-best 19 points in a 69-62 loss to Vassar Sunday. She represented the Golden Flyers on the all-tournament team for the Onnie's Classic over the weekend.
 
Men’s Swimming & Diving Athlete – Ithaca College
Matt Morrison, Sophomore – Simsbury, CT/Simsbury
 
Ithaca diver Matt Morrison won both events, with a score of 313.10 on the 3-meter board and 280.35 on the 1-meter board. Both scores met the NCAA qualifying standard and Morrison has qualified for the NCAA Diving Regionals, which Ithaca will host. The Bombers picked up a 179-58 win over Geneseo and a 180-61 win over Hamilton. Hartwick defeated Ithaca 138-99.
 
Women’s Swimming & Diving Athlete – Ithaca College
Carly Jones, Senior – Liverpool, NY/Liverpool
 
Carly Jones was first in the 200-yard individual medley (2:12.73) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:27.37). She was also part of Ithaca's victorious 400-yard medley relay (4:07.88). The Bombers totaled three dual victories at the meet. Ithaca bettered Geneseo 148-94, outscored Hartwick 146-97 and defeated Hamilton 167-76.
