Men’s Basketball Player – Nazareth
Brad Ford, Junior, Forward – Victor, NY/Victor
 
Junior Brad Ford averaged 20.5 points and 12 rebounds in a pair of non-conference games last week for Nazareth. He had team highs in points (16) and rebounds (8) in a loss at Rochester last Tuesday and then helped Nazareth to a 97-89 win at Buffalo State last Saturday as he scored 25 points and grabbed 16 rebounds.
 
Men’s Basketball Rookie – Nazareth
Mitch Ford, Forward – Victor, NY/Victor
 
Mitch Ford helped the Golden Flyers split a pair of non-conference games last week. He chipped in with six points in a loss to Rochester last Tuesday and then combined 19 points with 12 rebounds in the 97-89 win at Buffalo State on Saturday.
 
Women’s Basketball Player – St. John Fisher
Camaryn Buckner, Junior, Forward – Honeoye Falls, NY/Honeoye Falls-Lima
 
In a 2-1 week for Fisher, Camaryn Buckner shot 47% from the field averaging 15 points and 8.7 rebounds. Buckner scored 15 of her season-high 21 points in the first half on 9-of-11 shooting and also grabbed eight rebounds against John Jay in the opening round of the Woodcliff Hotel and Spa Invitational. She had a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds against Union in the championship game to earn MVP honors. Earlier in the week she led Fisher with eight boards in a loss to Medaille.
 
Women’s Basketball Rookie – Alfred
Heather Hebert, Guard – Hilton, NY/Hilton
 
Heather Hebert averaged 12 points and 4.5 rebounds in 2-0 week for the Saxons’. She finished with 14 points, six rebounds and six steals against Penn College Tuesday night. Saturday afternoon, Hebert finished in double-digits for the third time in four games with 10 points and added eight steals to her stat line in the win over Hilbert.
