Men’s Basketball Player – Utica College
Connor Maisch, Junior Forward – Kingston, NY/John A. Coleman
Connor Maisch averaged a team-best 18.0 points and 9.0 rebounds per game as the Pioneers' went 1-1 last week. He netted a career-high 25 points and grabbed eight rebounds as the Pioneers defeated host Hartwick 75-72 on Tuesday night. He connected on 4-of-6 3-pointers and shot 66.7% from the floor to lead UC to its first win over the Hawks since the 2008-09 season. Friday night, the junior transfer netted his first double-double of the season with 11 points and 10 boards in the loss to Stevens Institute of Technology.
Men’s Basketball Rookie – St. John Fisher
Chaz Lott, Guard – Wynantskill, NY/Christian Brothers Academy
Freshman Chaz Lott repeated as the Rookie of the Week after a solid all-around week as the Cardinals went 2-1. Lott opened the week with five rebounds and three assists in the dominant win over Alfred Tuesday night. He finished with four assists while also corralling eight rebounds in the 52-43 win against Elmira on Friday and finished the week with 10 points, six assists and five boards against Worcester State University.
Women’s Basketball Player – Hartwick
Maria Foglia, Junior Guard – Rensselaer, NY/Catholic Central
Foglia averaged 15 points and six assists per game this week for Hartwick as the Hawks split a pair of games. On Tuesday, in Hartwick's Empire 8 opener, she scored 12 points and dished out a season-high seven assists in a 58-50 victory over Utica. She added five rebounds and three steals in the game. On Friday in a 58-51 loss to St. Lawrence, she notched game-highs of 18 points, five assists, three three-pointers, and three steals. She also contributed three rebounds in the game.
Women’s Basketball Rookie – Stevens
Dylan Krause, Forward – Atlanta, GA/ St. Pius X Catholic
Dylan Krause averaged 15 points, 13 boards and 2.5 blocks in two games last week. She finished with 11 points and 10 rebounds in the overtime loss to New Paltz on Tuesday. The Atlanta native scored 19 points and grabbed 16 rebounds to lead all players Friday night at Utica.
Men’s Track Athlete – Ithaca
David Geary, Senior – Rochester, NY/Brighton
Senior David Geary won the mile run at the Ithaca Quad Meet on Saturday in 4:22.65, just .65 seconds shy of the meeting the ECAC-qualifier.
Men’s Field Athlete – Nazareth
Khiary Gayle, Freshman – Syracuse, NY/Skaneateles
Khiary Gayle finished second in the triple jump with a leap of 13.80 meters (45’ 3.5”). His mark was an inch and a half short of his own school record that he set one week prior in his first college meet. He also recorded a distance of 6.08 meters in the long jump.
Women’s Track Athlete – Stevens
Amy Regan, Freshman – Green Brook, NJ/Watchung Hills
Freshman Amy Regan carried her cross country success inside to the track where she set a new school record by 50 seconds in the 5K at Princeton with a time of 17:50.36. She placed second in the event and also qualified for ECACs in March.
Women’s Field Athlete – Ithaca
Amanda Rissmeyer, Senior – Millington, NJ/Watchung
Senior Amanda Rissmeyer placed second in the high jump with a clear of 1.63 meters to meet the ECAC standard on Saturday at the Ithaca Quad Meet. She also won the shot put with a heave of 11.36 meters and placed third in the long jump with a 5.13-meter leap.
