Men’s Basketball Player – St. John Fisher
Jason Norsen, Senior, Center – Hamburg, NY/Frontier
 
Senior Jason Norsen recorded three outstanding performances in each of the Cardinals’ games during the 47th annual Wendy’s College Classic, in which the team placed fourth out of eight teams. Norsen averaged a near double-double with 16.3 points, 9.3 rebound and five blocks per game, while shooting 70.4 percent from the field and 85 percent from the foul line.
On Tuesday, in a first round 85-72 win against visiting The College at Brockport, Norsen recorded his eighth career double-double with 16 points and 15 rebounds, also adding six blocks.
In the semifinal round against the No. 17 University of Rochester Yellowjackets, he finished with 12 points and four blocks, also recording six rebounds in the 63-50 loss.
In a 78-71 loss to Nazareth College in the consolation contest on Saturday, Norsen led the team with 21 points and five blocks, while grabbing a team-high seven rebounds.
Norsen’s 15 blocked shots set a new Wendy’s College Classic record.
 
Men’s Basketball Rookie – St. John Fisher
Chaz Lott, Guard – Wynantskill, NY/Christian Brothers Academy
 
Freshman Chaz Lott posted solid all-around numbers during the Wendy’s College Classic, in which St. John Fisher placed fourth. Lott averaged 7.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game. He led all teams in the College Classic in both assists and steals, averaging 6.3 and 2.0, respectively. Lott dished out seven assists and scored seven points against No. 17 University of Rochester in the semifinals and recorded 11 points and a season-high eight assists in the consolation game verse Nazareth.
 
Women’s Basketball Player – Elmira
Jessica Zoltowski, Junior, Guard – Erie PA/Harbor Creek
 
Jessica Zoltowski had a remarkable week averaging a double-double per outing as she led Elmira to a 2-1 week. The junior finished the week averaging 21 points and 11 rebounds per game. Zoltowski tallied game-highs of 22 points and 15 rebounds in a 65-53 win against Sage on Tuesday. On Saturday in a loss to St. Lawrence she recorded game-highs of 24 points, 13 boards and five steals.
 
Women’s Basketball Rookie – Hartwick
Brittney Dumas, Guard – Easton, CT/Joel Barlow
 
Brittany Dumas helped Hartwick to a pair of wins this week. She scored seven points and grabbed three rebounds with a blocked shot, and assist, and a steal in a 48-38 win over city-rival Oneonta State on Wednesday in a game featuring two 2012 NCAA Tournament teams. On Saturday, she scored a career-high 13 points and added seven rebounds, two blocks, and two assists as the Hawks rolled to a 69-33 victory over Morrisville State.
 
Men’s Swimming & Diving Athlete – Stevens
John Hu, Senior – Oak Harbor, WA/Oak Harbor
 
Senior John Hu led Stevens to its third ECAC title in as many years, earning Swimmer of the Meet honors in the process. The veteran tallied two NCAA B-cuts in wins in the 400-IM (3:55.91) and 200-fly(1:49.81). He also notched a B-cut in a win in the 200-yard IM (1:51.84) and was second in the 100-yard breaststroke. In addition, Hu helped to 400-yard medley relay team to a win and B-cut, combining for a 3:24.43. It was the fourth time in four years Hu earned Swimmer of the Meet honors.
 
Women’s Swimming & Diving Athlete – Stevens
Louise Moores, Junior – Mukilteo, WA/Kamiak
 
Junior Louise Moores was named the Swimmer of the Meet after leading Stevens to its second ECAC title in as many years. Moores earned four individual wins. She clocked an NCAA B-cut in the 100-yard backstroke (55.56), an A-cut in the 100-fly (55.24), a B-cut in the 50-free (23.45) and a B-cut in the 100-free (51.12). All four times were ECAC records. Moores was also a part of 200-medley relay that earned a win, B-cut (1:44.50) and ECAC record, the 400-medley relay that did the same (3:53.61), the 200-free relay tallied a win and B-cut (1:35.93) and the 400-free relay that carded a 3:29.40, won and recorded a B-cut. It was the second-straight year Moores was named Swimmer of Meet at the ECAC's.
