Louise Moores (Mukilteo, Wash.) was named the Empire 8 Swimmer of the Week for her performance at last week’s Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships.
Moores earned four individual wins at the ECAC’s to lead the Ducks to their second-straight ECAC title.
She clocked an NCAA B-cut in the 100-yard backstroke (55.56), an A-cut in the 100-fly (55.24), a B-cut in the 50-free (23.45) and a B-cut in the 100-free (51.12). All four times were ECAC records.
Moores was also a part of 200-medley relay that earned a win, B-cut (1:44.50) and ECAC record, the 400-medley relay that did the same (3:53.61), the 200-free relay that tallied a win and B-cut (1:35.93) and the 400-free relay that carded a 3:29.40, won and recorded a B-cut. It was the second-straight year Moores was named Swimmer of Meet at the ECAC's.
