Academic honors for Nazareth field hockey
ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Eleven members of the Nazareth field hockey team have been honored as member of the 2011 Gladiator by SGI/NFHCA Division III National Academic Aquad.
The National Academic Squad recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.30 or higher for the fall semester. In addition the Golden Flyers were honored as a team for having a collective grade-point average of 3.0 or higher.
Representatives on the National Academic Squad included seniors Maria Martini, Elise Maryanopolis and Catrina Sunderlin, who were recognized for the fourth year in a row.
Also named to the squad were seniors Nina Fargnoli and Erin Law, juniors Alex Bracy, Tessa Knapp and Lindsey Smith, sophomores Grace Crowell and Sarah Wazenkewitz and freshman Isabel Wittmaack.
