St. John Fisher Earns First Win
The St. John Fisher College men's tennis team picked up its first win of the year, earning a 5-4 win over Roanoke College in Hilton Head, S.C. on Tuesday. After winning just one of three matches in doubles actions, the Cardinals won four of six matches at singles to secure the victory.
Greg Duffy won 6-0, 6-2 at second doubles and teamed with John Whelehan for an 8-7 (7-0) win at first doubles.
Daniel Parshall won 6-0, 6-4 at fourth singles, while Sheldon Mitchell picked up a 6-2, 6-3 victory at fifth singles.
Chris Maley won 6-1, 6-3 at sixth singles.
Fisher is now 1-5 on the year.
