WINTER HAVEN, Fla. (March 13, 2012) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men’s tennis team ripped through the Saints of Saint Lawrence University 9-0 on Tuesday in the Sunshine State. Chris Rosensteel (East Windsor, N.J.) and Shota Tasaki (Greenwich, Conn.) were nearly perfect at first and second singles, respectively, winning by identical 6-0, 6-1 margins.

Andrew Riggs (Auburn, Calif.), Nicholas Rosasco (Alpine, N.J.), Daniel Szwarc (Metuchen, N.J.) and Derek Smith (Boise, Idaho) all won their singles matchups in straight-sets as well.

In doubles, Riggs and Rosasco teamed to make short work of second doubles with an 8-1 final. Smith and Szwarc won 8-2 at threes while Rosensteel and Tasaki won 8-5 a first doubles.

It was a welcome victory for the Ducks, who started the 2012 season 0-3 against stiff competition. Stevens is currently ranked No. 12 in the Northeast Region.
