SALEM, VA- Sophomore forward
Jared Suderley (Newport, NY/West Canada Valley) continues to accumulate accolades as he was named to the D3hoops.com All-American Second Team. The All-American selections were announced this afternoon at the Final Four.
This is the 15
th year that D3hoops.com has picked an All-American team. Suderley was one of 25 players chosen. The selections were divided into first, second, third, fourth and honorable mention teams. Out of the 25 players listed, Suderley was one of only three sophomores to earn the honor.
Earlier this week, Suderley was named to the D3hoops.com All-East Region First Team and the NABC East Region All-District First Team. On Thursday, he was named to the NABC Coaches' Division III All-America Second Team.
Suderley was the leading scorer for the Hawks this season as he led them to the Empire 8 and NCAA Tournaments for the second straight season. Against Farmingdale State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, he scored a career-high 40 points and eclipsed the 1,000 point mark in his career. He became just the second sophomore in Hartwick history to achieve that feat.
