Ithaca Men's Swimming & Diving Moves Up To 23rd In NCAA Standings
Indianapolis, Ind. - The Ithaca College men's swimming & diving team earned an all-America result when the 200-yard freestyle relay team placed 13th in the consolation final Thursday evening on the second day of competition at the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships. The Bombers are 23rd in the team standings after two days of the four-day meet.
The Ithaca quartet of senior Antoine Connors, junior Jake Robbins, junior Chris Cadwell and sophomore Zack Kundel swam a time of 1:23.63 in the consolation final. That earned all-America status for all four swimmers, the first such honor in the career of each team member.
In other events Thursday, senior Jeff Rapp was in the 400-yard individual medley and Ithaca's 400-yard medley relay team of Connor White, Robbins, Rapp and Connors finished 22nd in the preliminary heats with a time of 3:28.42.
