(March 23, 2012) – The Stevens Institute of Technology men’s swimming team is in 14th place heading to the fourth and final day of the 2012 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Swimming and Diving Championships. Headlining the Ducks’ Day 3 action was the 800-yard freestyle relay time that placed 10th and set a new school-record.

Day 3 Preliminaries

Junior John Hu (Oak Harbor, Wash.) opened the day’s action by placing 19th in the 200-yard butterfly prelims with a time of 1:51.86, and classmate Greg Charriez (Mohegan Lake, N.Y.) took 24th in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 51.32.

Denison University is leading with 471 points and Kenyon College is in second. Stevens (47) is the top team amongst Empire 8 foes and is second among New Jersey institutions (The College of New Jersey).
