All-America Finishes Highlight Day 2 For Ithaca Women's Swimming & Diving
Indianapolis, Ind. - The 400-yard medley relay of the Ithaca College women's swimming & diving team and sophomore diver Korie Fackler earned all-America finishes Thursday as the Bombers rank 19th in the team standings halfway through the NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships, being held at the IUPUI Natatorium in Indianapolis.
The 400 medley relay team of freshman Kylie Bangs, junior Madi Sherry, junior Carly Jones and sophomore Elizabeth Gawrys placed 13th in the event finals with a time of 3:54.53. They qualified for the consolation final with a time of 3:55.55. It was the second consecutive day that foursome earned all-America recognition as the team placed 15th in the 200-yard medley relay on Wednesday.
Sophomore Korie Fackler scored 362.80 to finish 15th and earn her first all-America honor of her career. Fackler ranked ninth after the preliminaries with a score of 388.65.
