Fackler Earns All-America Finish; Ithaca Womens' Swim & Dive Places 31st at NCAAs
Indianapolis, Ind. - Sophomore diver Korie Fackler earned her second all-America honor of the championship meet and the Bombers finished 31st in the team standings as competition concluded at the 2012 NCAA Division III Women's Swimming & Diving Championships at the IUPUI Natatorium in Indianapolis.
Fackler finished 14th in the finals of the three-meter diving event with a score of 380.55 in the event finals. Her preliminary score of 405.90 advanced her into the finals. It was Fackler's second all-America finish in her career, in her first-ever trip to the NCAA meet. She was 15th in the one-meter competition Thursday.
In other action on the final day of the meet, junior Carly Jones was 23rd in the preliminaries of the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:23.47.
