Senior Day Victory For Ithaca Men's Tennis
ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Ithaca men's tennis team blanked Elmira 9-0 in an Empire 8 dual match Wednesday afternoon at Glazer Arena in the Athletics & Events Center. Ithaca improved to 5-7 overall and 4-1 in the Empire 8. Elmira is 3-7 and 1-6 in the conference.
Nine different players saw action in Ithaca's lineup and the Bombers won all singles matches in straight sets. Prior to the match, Ithaca honored seniors Jimmy Newton, Dan Levine and Nathaniel Stritzinger. Stritzinger played his first varsity match and was an 8-6 winner at third singles with Derryk Williams.
The Bombers return to action Friday at Nazareth and wrap up the regular season Saturday at Utica.
