ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Juniors Ryan McCormick Jeremy Mancus and sophomore Erik Manske each contributed key points in both singles and doubles for host Nazareth Friday as the Golden Flyers edged Ithaca in an Empire 8 Conference men's tennis match, 5-4.

Nazareth completed its regular-season schedule with a 9-10 overall record and a 6-1 mark in conference matches. Ithaca dropped to 5-8 overall and 4-2 in the E8.

Mancus and Manske each dropped the first set of their respective singles matches before rallying to win. Mancus won a close match over David Andersen 5-7, 7-5, 6-4, while Manske won 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 over Ithaca's Justin Levine. In doubles, Mancus and Manske combined to defeat Ithaca's Griffin Reid and Justin Levine 9-7.

McCormick continued his fine play for Nazareth at first singles as he won 6-4, 6-3 over Ithaca's Jimmy Newton. He also teamed with junior Bret Beaver for an 8-5 win at first doubles.
