Bombers Hit ECAC Standards in Seven Events at Penn Relays
ITHACA, N.Y. – The 21st-ranked Ithaca College women’s track & field team competed Thursday at the Penn Relays. The Bombers hit ECAC standards in every event in which they participated.
In the throws, senior Ashley Dlubac placed 11th in a javelin field of 29 athletes with a toss of 39.26 meters. Fellow senior Jessica Hoeffner placed 17th, the top finisher of all Division III athletes, in the hammer throw with a heave of 49.97 meters.
Junior Amanda Rissmeyer cleared 1.60 meters in the high jump to finish in a three-way tie for 24th.
The Bombers’ 400-meter relay of freshman Rachel Friedman, senior Emma Dewart, junior Cassandra Clark and senior Becca Coffman clocked a 50.68 finish.
Ithaca’s 1,600 relay comprised of freshman Alex Lewis, junior Jenn Randall,
Coffman and junior Ebonie Howard crossed the finish line in 3:59.15.
Senior Heidi Baumbach ran 20th in the 3,000 steeplechase with a time of 11:13.78, while classmate Molly Quinn placed 27th in the 5K in 18:14.19
The Bombers will conclude competition at Franklin Field on Friday.
