Ithaca Tallies Seven ECAC Qualifiers at Cornell
Ithaca, N.Y. – The 10th-ranked Ithaca College women’s track & field team competed Saturday at Cornell’s April Open. The Bombers tallied seven ECAC qualifiers on the day and 22 top-10 finishes.
Ithaca had three hit the qualifier in the 200-meter dash as senior Becca Coffman finished eighth in 26.02, freshman Harmony Graves ninth in 26.03 and senior Emma Dewart 14th in 26.17.
Graves also qualified in the 100 dash with an eighth-place time of 12.64. Coffman< finished in 10th in 12.81.
Dewart< qualified in the long jump with a fourth-place mark of 5.60 meters and classmate Jessica Hoeffner did so in the hammer with a fourth-place finish of 47.12 meters.
Junior Tammia Hubbard clocked an ECAC-qualifying time of 15.70 in the 100 hurdles.
Sophomore Elaine Abdulky finished 10th in the hammer throw with a mark of 36.08 meters and was sixth in the discus with a 36.23-meter heave.
Four Bombers finished in the top 10 in the shot put. Junior Amanda Rissmeyer was sixth with a mark of 11.16 meters, freshman Corrine Taylor eighth with a throw of 10.39 meters, junior Colleen Garman ninth with a 10.10-meter toss and freshman Kristina Stockburger 10th with a mark of 9.72 meters.
Senior Ashley Dlubac placed third in the javelin, Hoeffner seventh and junior Katie Edwards eighth with throws of 35.99 meters, 29.55 meters and 29.34 meters, respectively.
Rissmeyer placed seventh in the high jump and Dewart ninth, both clearing 1.55 meters.
Senior Hannah Evans placed ninth in the triple jump with a mark of 10.54 meters and freshman Kristen Swanson followed in 10th with a mark of 10.30 meters.
Both relays crossed the finish line in fifth. The 4x100 relay finished in 51.04 and the 4x400 clocked in at 4:12.83.
