Ithaca Snaps Four Meet Records, Ties School Record at Oneonta

Oneonta, N.Y. – The 17th-ranked Ithaca College women’s track & field team snapped four meet records and tied one school record on Saturday at the Oneonta May Meet. The Bombers also hit 16 ECAC qualifiers.

The Bombers' 400-meter relay of freshman Rachel Friedman, senior Emma Dewart, junior Cassandra Clark and senior Becca Coffman clocked a school-record tying time of 48.58.

Junior Jenn Randall broke a meet record in the 800 run, winning the event in 2:11.91.

Three Bombers broke or tied meet records in the field events. Junior Amanda Rissmeyer tied her own high jump meet record from 2010 with a winning clear of 1.63 meters. Senior Jessica Hoeffner won the hammer throw with a toss of 48.78 meters and classmate Ashley Dlubac claimed first in the javelin with a mark of 39.98 meters.

Senior Kate Middleton won the shot put with a heave of 12.51 meters and placed fourth in the hammer with a distance of 47.08 meters.

Hoeffner and sophomore Elaine Abdulky placed third and fourth, respectively, with throws of 36.59 meters and 36.25 meters in the discus.

Freshman Emilia Scheemaker placed third in the triple jump with a mark of 11.30 meters.

Dewart, freshman Harmony Graves, Coffman and Randall won the 1,600 relay in 3:53.72.

Senior Heidi Baumbach won the 3,000 steeplechase with a time of 11:07.36.

Junior Tammia Hubbard ran second in the 100 hurdles in 15.27 and classmate Ebonie Howard finished third in the 400 hurdles in 1:04.73.

Senior Molly Brown was third to finish the 1,500 run with a time of 4:46.38.

Sophomore Martyann Chromik finished fourth in the 400 dash clocking in at 59.95.

The Bombers will next compete May 17-18 at the ECAC Outdoor Championships at Rensselaer.
