Ithaca and Utica Women's Soccer Still Undefeated
The NCAA released the Division III women’s soccer statistical leaders on Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 11, and the Ithaca Bombers and Utica Pioneers are two of 51 undefeated teams on the season.
Utica (4-0-0) is coming off a 2-1 victory over Oswego last Friday and has outscored opponents 9-1. Senior forward Samantha Spohler leads the team with four goals and one assist. Her four goals have all been game winners, which ranks first in Division III.

Ithaca (4-0-0) is ranked ninth by D3soccer.com and 12
th by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and is led by senior forward Rachael Palladino (3g, 1a). Palladino’s biggest goal of the season came in the Bombers third game; a 3-2 overtime win on the road at Scranton. She sent a 15-yard shot from the top of the box into the bottom right corner of the net with 5:35 left in the second overtime session.

St. John Fisher is ranked ninth in scoring at 4.67 goals per game, thanks to a five goal effort against Drew and a seven goal shutout over Albion. The Cardinals hosted Nazareth Tuesday night in the conference opener and tied the Golden Flyers 1-1; breaking Nazareth’s 20-game winning streak in contests against Fisher. Alexandra Rohloff, ranked 30
th in goals per game, was in the right spot at the right time to score her fifth goals of the season as she fired a shot into the empty net after the Nazareth keeper made a diving save that deflected off the cross bar.
