Stevens Men's Soccer Ranked #18, Nazareth Receiving Votes
The Steven’s Institute of Technology (1-1) and Nazareth College (2-0) men’s soccer teams appear in the first
National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) national poll of the regular season.
Stevens defeated Baldwin Wallace 3-1 to kick off the season before dropping a 1-0 heart breaker to Carnegie Mellon in the final 40 seconds of regulation. The Ducks fall to No. 18 in the national poll.
The Golden Flyers recorded a pair of men's soccer victories at the Doug May Invitational over the weekend and earn themselves a spot in the also receiving votes category. Nazareth scored twice in the second half to snap a 2-2 tie in a 4-2 win over SUNY Canton and posted the identical score, 4-2, over Brockport.
In the initial
NSCAA East region rankings, the Ducks are third while the Golden Flyers are fourth. And Utica College (2-0) is also receiving votes in the East Region.
