Stevens and Ithaca Women's Soccer Move up in National Poll

The Steven’s Institute of Technology (1-0) and Ithaca College (2-0) women’s soccer teams moved up in the first National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) national poll of the regular season.
 
Stevens defeated New York University 3-2 to kick off the season and jump up three spots to No. 15 in the national poll. The Ducks extended their unbeaten streak to 14 consecutive games.
 
The Bombers blanked Wisconsin-Eau Claire, 1-0, and Babson, 3-0, in the Heron Cup to start the 2012 season.
 
In the initial NSCAA East region rankings, the Ducks are second while the Bombers are third. And Nazareth College (0-0-2) appears on the No. 8 spot.
