Hartwick 69, Stevens 67
Maria Foglia's three-point play with 17.1 seconds left put Hartwick (14-3, 6-0 E8) in the lead for good in a 69-67 come-from-behind win over visiting Stevens (8-8, 3-3 E8) Tuesday night at Lambros Arena. The victory is Hartwick’s seventh straight and keeps them unbeaten and in first place in the Empire 8.

With the Hawks down a point with 30 seconds to go, Foglia drove strong to the hole, sank a layup off glass to put the Hawks in front and she was fouled. She then sank her ninth free throw of the night to make it a two-point game. The Ducks had two chances to tie the game but the Hawks got the stops they needed in the win.

Foglia led all scorers with 25 points. Brittney Dumas added 19 and Kait Veit dropped in 11.

St. John Fisher 66, Alfred 64
The St. John Fisher College women's basketball program won its third straight Empire 8 Conference game, as the Cardinals held on for a 66-64 win over host Alfred University.

Alfred, who trailed by as many as 19 points, chipped away at the lead, cutting the margin to single digits midway through the half.   The Saxons hit a 3-pointer with 23.3 seconds left and a missed front end of an one-and-one bonus free throw shot by Fisher gave Alfred the final offensive set.

Alfred got off a layup and retained the possession when the missed shot caromed off a Cardinals' player and out of bounds. With 3.5 seconds remaining the Saxons inbounded the ball after a time out but a mid-range jumper wouldn't fall as Fisher collected the win.
