Ducks Recognized for Sporting Behavior

The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) announced that the Stevens Institute of Technology Men’s Soccer team, and head coach Devin Rensing, are one of only six men’s programs from around the country to receive a 2012 NSCAA Team Ethics Award.

The award recognizes teams that exhibit fair play, sporting behavior and adherence to the Laws of the Game, as reflected by the number of yellow caution cards or red ejection cards they are shown by referees throughout the season.

The Bronze Award, presented to Stevens, is awarded to teams that received no reds and a maximum of 10 yellows. The Silver version of the award is given to teams that accumulate no reds and no more than five yellow cards, while the Gold Standard is for team who receive no cards.

The Ducks finished the season 18-3-1 and ranked No. 10 in the final NSCAA poll.
