Bomber Softball Ranked In NFCA Preseason Poll
ITHACA, N.Y. -- The Ithaca College softball team is ranked 21st in the 2013 National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III Preseason Poll. The Bombers finished last season with a 32-14 overall record, advanced to the NCAA tournament, and won the Empire 8 regular season and playoff championships. It was Ithaca's 25th all-time appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
Four scheduled opponents in the 2013 season for Ithaca also appear in the rankings -- No. 5 Linfield, No. 12 Plattsburgh and No. 24 Cortland. The NFCA Division III Top 25 Poll is voted on by eight NCAA Division III head coaches representing the eight NCAA regions.
