Stevens Ranked No. 10 in National Poll

The Stevens Institute of Technology men's soccer team finds itself ranked No. 10 in the nation for the second straight week as the National Soccer Coaches Association of America released its weekly poll.  The team is also ranked No. 8 in the latest D3Soccer.com poll.

The Ducks are currently ranked second in the NCAA East Region, a key factor in deciding seeding and game locations in the NCAA Men's Soccer Division III Championship. Houghton College is ranked sixth in the region. The Highlanders are in their second year of NCAA provsional status are not eligible for post-season play but are certainly making an impact on the field.

Houghton (7-0-1) is one of eight teams in Division III to remain unbeaten in the 2013-14 season. 

Stevens (6-1-1) only loss of the season came against Houghton on Sept. 21, but the Ducks bounced back with a convincing 4-0 win against Alfred on Sept. 28

All games through Sept 29, the Ducks are now 21st in the nation in goals against average (0.49) and 16th in scoring offense (3.25 goals per game). They also boast the 33rd-best record in the country with a .813 winning percentage.
