Cardinals Defeat Golden Flyers To Win Nazareth Invitational
The St. John Fisher College women's golf team overcame a nine-shot deficit on Monday and battled back to beat host Nazareth College and win the 2013 Nazareth Fall Invitational.
Fisher, who shot a 408 on Sunday, posted a 411 on Monday at Irondequoit Country Club to finish with a two-day total of 819. Nazareth finished 13 strokes behind the Cardinals at 832 (399-433).
Nazareth sophomore Anouluck Chanthabandith had 97 Monday for a two-round total of 180, three shots better than runner-up Ceilia Fitzgerald of St. John Fisher (92-91).
Nazareth's Jennifer Lachell and sophomore
Meaghan Porter each shot 92 Monday to finish in third and fourth place respectively. Lachell had a 186 total and Porter had 192.
Fisher's
Jenna Kramer was fifth overall at 204 (101-103).
Megan Bleck was seventh overall at 213 (107-106), while
Alexis Juda was ninth at 225 (108-117).
Christiann Lerminiaux placed sixth overall (104-106-210) competing as an individual.
