Men's Results

GENEVA, NY – The Hartwick men's cross country team finished fifth out of 13 teams on Saturday at the Cross Country Only Conference Championship at Seneca Lake State Park in Geneva.

Gavin Jenkins (Holbrook, NY/Sachem East) placed sixth overall. Matt Loignon (Plainfield, VT/U-32) was 14th for a pair of Hartwick top 15's.

The Hawks had a score of 104 on the day, just six points out of fourth and 13 out of third.

Jenkins ran the 8K in a time of 27:32.5. Loignon crossed the finish line in 28:16.3.

Tim Mahony (Syosset, NY/St. Dominic) and Ethan Kelly (Potsdam, NY/Potsdam) were each in the top 25. Mahony was 20th in 28:45.3. Kelly was three spots behind in 23rd with a time of 28:55.9.

Hartwick will be home for the only time this season in their next meet. The Hawks host the Hartwick Twilight 5K under the lights of the Elmore Field Track on Friday, October 25. The first race begins at 6 p.m.
