Stevens 3, Baruch 0
The Stevens Institute of Technology women's volleyball squad improved to 22-5 on the season with a 3-0 victory at Baruch College on Wednesday night in New York City. The sweep marks the 10th perfect match Stevens has posted this season.

In the straight sets triumph, 25-15, 25-21, 25-18, sophomore Kristen Herchenroder and freshman Christina Sciarra both posted a team-high nine kills for Stevens. Herchenroder hit .400 on 20 swings, while Sciarra took 22 attempts and hit at a .364 clip. Herchenroder also recorded seven digs.

Senior Samantha Gates handed out 32 assists to lead all players. Gates also tallied six digs and three service aces. Classmate Mary Caulson recorded eight kills, five digs and a match-best four aces for the Ducks.

Junior Kirsten Salmins paced the Ducks defensively with 11 digs, while sophomore Catie Shelton chipped in four digs, three aces and two assists.

Junior Katie Hall added five kills.


Sage College 3, Utica 0
The Utica College volleyball team lost its final home game of the season Wednesday night as it fell to visiting Sage College in non-conference action. 

The Gators downed UC in straight sets, 25-23, 25-21, 25-13 to pick up their 13th win of the year.  Helen Putriment led Sage with 15 kills on the evening.

Freshman Brandi Blaszak (Marcy, NY/Whitesboro) once again led the Pioneers with 11 kills, nine digs, and four blocks, while Lora Allen (Dolgeville, NY/Dolgeville) had 14 assists.  Senior Leah Kazalski (Greene, NY/Greene) was second on the squad with eight digs of her own.  Laura Homer-Gunther (Sauquoit, NY/Sauquoit) and Cassandra Manzer (Portcrane, NY/Chenango Valley) each had four kills, while Liz Sacco (Franklin, Mass. /Franklin), Cassi Brancato (Gloversville, NY/Mayfield), and Chelsea Lauria (Erieville, NY/Cazenovia) also helped out on the offensive end.
