2013 Volleyball Championship Field Set
On the final weekend of the Empire 8 regular season Stevens Institute of Technology was idle in conference play but had already laid the ground work to clinch the top spot in the 2013 Empire 8 Women's Volleyball Championship Tournament with a perfect 7-0 league record. The Ducks will host the E8 Championship November 9-10.
Nazareth College needed to win one of it's final two game to clinch No. 2 but ended up going 2-0 to close out the E8 regular season with a 6-1 record.
Elmira College and Ithaca College each had a 4-3 record, however the Soaring Eagles defeated the Bombers head-to-head, 3-0 to claim rights to the No. 3 seed, giving the Bombers the fourth spot.
No. 4 Ithaca will square off with host No. 1 Stevens at noon on November 9th, while No. 3 Elmira and No. 2 Nazareth will clash at 2:30 p.m. The two winners will meet on Sunday, November 10th at noon in the Empire 8 Championship with the winner earning an automatic bid and advancing to the 2013 NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Tournament.
