The Salisbury University football team has climbed one spot in the D3football.com Top 25 poll, the organization announced Sunday night.

Salisbury (5-2, 4-0 Empire 8 Athletic Conference) moved up to No. 23 with 63 points in the poll, following a 17-0 win against Hartwick College, the second Salisbury shutout this season, as the defense played a dominant game throughout, coming up with six takeaways.

The Sea Gulls, who sit alone atop the Empire 8 standings, are the only conference team in this week's poll, with then-No. 25 St. John Fisher College dropping out following a 25-22 loss to Ithaca College.

The University of Mount Union remains the top-ranked team in the poll with 16 first-place votes and 609 points, followed by Linfield College (six first-place votes, 597 points) and the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (three, 591).

Ithaca College was among teams also receiving votes in the poll.
