Penn Yan, NY -- The Elmira College men's golf team claimed a first place finish at today's Keuka College Fall Invitational with a team score of 307. EC's
Jarryd ten Vaanholt '16 had his best 18-hole round of his Elmira career as he turned in a 73 card to win his first collegiate tournament.
En route to winning their second tournament of the year, the Elmira men placed golfers at first, second and third place. Today's medalist, ten Vaanholt, shot a career best 73 while
Evan Clarke '15 turned in a 76 card for a second place finish. Elmira rookie
Ryan Siffermann '17 had his highest finish of the fall season as he came in third with a 77, which, also ties a career best for the first-year standout. Also contributing today was
Brandon Payne '17 who shot an 81 and
Joseph Ezzo '14 who added an 83.
EC will look to continue their winning ways as they prepare for this weekend's ECAC Division III Mid-Atlantic Men's Golf Championship at Blue Heron Hills in Macedon, NY. Play begins on Saturday, October 5th and continues through Sunday, October 6th.
