Hartwick 3, Oneonta 2
In a battle of city rivals, Hartwick stormed back from a 2-1 deficit to knock off Oneonta State, 3-2 (20-25, 25-19, 16-25, 25-12, 15-11) on Tuesday night at Lambros Arena. The win for the Hawks is their third straight. It is also the first victory for the program over the Red Dragons since 2006 and just the second all-time (2-36).

Outside hitters Hannah Strom and Dana Martin each tied for the match-high with 15 kills. They also had the same number of digs with 14 apiece.

Reigning Empire 8 Rookie of the Week Quincy Kinzel also registered a double-double with a match-high 24 assists and a team-best 16 digs.


Cobleskill 3, Utica 1
The Utica College volleyball team lost a heartbreaker to SUNY Cobleskill, 3-1, in its "Dig Pink" game Tuesday night at the Clark Athletic Center.  Cassandra Manzer and Laura Homer-Gunther each had 11 kills on the night. 

In honor of breast cancer awareness, the Pioneers wore special edition pink jerseys, sold pink t-shirts and baked goods, and raffled off various items with all proceeds donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. 

UC took the first set 25-17 and was just one points away from taking a commanding two-set lead, however Cobleskill was able to fight back and win the second frame by a score of 29-27, swinging the momentum in favor of the Fighting Tigers.  Utica tried to regain control, but was unable to as the Tigers went on to take the match.

Freshman Brandi Blaszak  had ten kills and three blocks, while Lora Allen and Carly Lonczak  combined for 17 assists.  Junior Briona Enny had a team-high 12 digs.
