Elmira, NY -- For two straight Tuesday afternoons, the Elmira College men's basketball team has volunteered their time at the Horseheads Family Resource Center. Rather than spending their afternoon in the gym, the Elmira men spent a pair of Tuesday evenings reading books and playing games with local children.
"It's a wonderful opportunity for our student-athletes to get out into the community" said head men's basketball coach
Randie Torgalski. "Our guys look forward to it every year. They really enjoy putting smiles on the kids' faces."
