2013 D3hoops.com Preseason All-Americans
BLOOMINGTON, MN- Men's basketball senior forward
Jared Suderley (Newport, NY/West Canada Valley) was one of 25 players named to the D3hoops.com Preseason All-America team. Suderley was chosen for the second team along with Tyler Peters from Wheaton (Ill.), Taylor Epley from Williams, Chris Klimek from Washington University and Chas Cross from UW-Platteville.
"This is a great accomplishment for Jared and the Hartwick basketball program," said head coach
Todd McGuinness. "He has worked hard throughout his career and is ready for a great senior season."
This is Suderley's second All-American recognition this year. He was named to the preseason All-America first team in the 2013 Sporting News College Basketball Annual Magazine back in September.
Last season, Suderley led the Hawks in scoring for the third straight year and was the top scorer in the Empire 8. He scored 20 or more points 10 times and tied for the team lead in three-point field goals (27) and was second in rebounds (174). He currently ranks sixth on the all-time scoring list with 1.464 points.
The Hawks begin the 2013-14 season when they face Ursinus at the Messiah College Tip-Off Tournament on Friday, Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. Hartwick's home opener is November 24 against SUNY Oswego.
