Ithaca Football Moves Up In National Polls

ITHACA, N.Y. – The Ithaca College football team moved up in the national rankings and stands 20th in both the D3football.com Top 25 and by the American Football Coaches Association Division III Coaches' Poll. The Bombers moved up four spots in the D3football rankings and moved into the AFCA rankings for the first time this year.

Ithaca is 8-1 on the season and captured the Empire 8 Championship following a 24-23 overtime victory at Salisbury. The Bombers finished 6-1 in conference play to win their sixth Empire 8 title, and earned automatic qualification to the NCAA Division III Football Championships. Ithaca will find out its first-round opponent and game location on Sunday, Nov. 17.

The Bombers close the regular season with the annual Cortaca Jug game, as Ithaca will host Cortland at noon Saturday.
