Stevens Earns No. 2 Seed in ECAC Tournament
The Stevens Institute of Technology field hockey season will continue this week as the Ducks have earned the number two seed in the ECAC Division III Mid-Atlantic Championship.
The Ducks are coming off a semifinal loss to St. John Fisher in the Empire 8 Championships, but carry a 12-7 record into their ECAC quarterfinal game. Stevens will try to defend its ECAC Championship from a year-ago.
The Ducks will host No. 7 William Paterson University (10-9) Wednesday, November 13 at 7 p.m. Live stats will be available via

Other first-round action on Nov 13 will feature No. 1 Drew University (16-3) will host No. 8 Alvernia University (11-7) at 7:00 p.m. No. 3 Richard Stockton College (12-7) hosts No. 6 Delaware Valley College (12-7) at 5:00 p.m., and No. 4 Kean University (13-4) will host No. 5 Arcadia University (14-6) at 7:30 p.m.
The first-round winners will advance to the semifinals on Saturday, November 16th hosted by the highest remaining seed. The winner of Drew University/Alvernia University will face the winner of Kean University/Arcadia University in one semifinal and the winner of Stevens Institute of Technology/William Patterson University and the winner of Richard Stockton College/Delaware Valley College in the other semifinal. The semifinal winners will meet Sunday, November 17th for the championship at the same site.
