Hartwick, Stevens and Utica Win
Utica
The Utica College men's swim team beat Wells College Saturday afternoon, 131-89, at the Utica College Pool. UC extended its win streak to eight straight over the Express as it moves it overall record to 3-2 on the season. Sophomore
Raphael Warnon (Rock Tavern, NY/Washingtonville ) and freshman
Tyler Good (Hanover, PA/Southwestern) led the Pioneers each with two wins.
Warnon took first in the 100 and 200-yard backstrokes while Good recorded two victories in the 200 and 500-yard freestyles with times of 1:57.72 and 5:23.11.
Freshman new addition
Chris Deyette (Canajoharie, NY/Canajoharie) continued his strong first-year campaign with a first place tally in the 100-yard breaststroke clocking a time of 2:36.75. Deyette also grabbed nine points in the 1000-yard freestyle and three points in the 50-yard freestyle.
Junior's
Anthony Farber (Delaware Water Gap, PA/Stroudsburg) and
Kaleb Bright (Saratoga Springs, NY/Dubois Area) combined for 22 points as Farber posted first and second place finishes totaling 13 points and Bright nine points. Farber posted a time of 52.99 in the 100-yard and a clock of 23.50 in the 50-yard freestyle events while Bright won the 200-yard butterfly with a watch of 2:22.35.
Stevens
Sophomore
Ravi Sun won three individual events to lead the Stevens Institute of Technology men's swimming team to a win at the New York University Fall Invitational Saturday afternoon.
Stevens finished the two-day championship-style meet with 404.5 points. NYU was second with 295 points and SUNY New Paltz finished with a team total of 92.5.
In total, Stevens won 10 different races on the invite's second day.

Tomasz Wolinski and senior
Nick Noga placed two-three in the 200-free to start the day, while sophomore
Ravi Sun and senior
Shawn Hanak went one-three in the 100-yard backstroke.
Hessler and Hanak finished second and third in the 50-yard freestyle preliminary, while sophomore
Joshua Lefeber earned a first in the 100-yard breaststroke. Junior
Price Hu was Stevens' best finisher in the 200-fly, taking second overall, with Hanak doing the same in the 100-yard freestyle. Noga placed third in the same event as Sun earned the No. 1 spot in the 200-yard backstroke. Sophomore
Dane Pilcher was third in the 200-yard breaststroke as freshmen Conner Arnott and
Mark Lippert earned the two and three seeds in the 500-free.
Junior
John Rees pocketed second in the 100-fly, with Lefeber mirroring that finish in the 200-yard IM to close out the morning session.
Finals:
In the finals, a first place in an individual event netted the team 12 points. Second place earned seven points, third place notched six all the way down to one for an eighth-place finish. In relay events, first earned 24 points, second took 14, and third was worth 12.
Stevens' team of Sun, Lefeber, Rees and senior
Tyler Hessler placed first in the 200-medley relay with a time of 1:36.18, and Lefeber made it 2-for-2 with his 4:11.90 in the 400-IM. Wolinski and Noga went one-two in the 200-free with times of 1:43.91 and 1:44.50, while Sun and Hanak did the same in the 100-yard backstroke thanks to finishes of 52.72 and 53.28.
Hessler finished second in the 50-free (21.63), Lefeber made it two wins by touching first in the 100-breaststroke with a time of 1:00.79, and Hu won the 200-fly with a 1:56.98.
Hanak and Noga finished second and third with times of 47.68 and 48.18 in the 100-free, and Sun tallied win No. 2 with a 1:57.25 in the 200-back.
Pilcher was first in 200-yard breaststroke, pocketing a time of 2:12.13 for Stevens' eighth win of the day as Arnott and Lippert (4:51.30, 4:53.07) placed second and third in the 500-free.
Rees grabbed third in the 100-yard butterfly (52.68), and Sun's third win of the day was in the 200-IM. He carded a 1:57.28 and was followed by Lefeber in third place.
In the final event of the day, Wolinski, Noga, Hessler and Hanak won the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:10.44, giving the Ducks their total of 404.5.
Hartwick
Hartwick picked up a victory on Saturday as the Hawks defeated the Golden Flyers 198-94 to remain a perfect 5-0.
Ben Detar (Charleston, SC/Hanahan),
Jeremy Torres (Bremerton, WA/ Central Kitsap), and
Luis Santiesteban(Key Largo, FL) all won two events each to pace Hartwick. Detar won the 200 fly (2:11.05), and the 100 fly (1:00.27). Torres was a winner in the 100 breast (1:08.24) and the 200 breast (2:27.54). Santiesteban touched the wall first in the 200 free (2:00.20) and the 200 IM (2:13.80). Detar's time in the 200 fly along with Torres' 200 breast time and Santiesetban's 200 IM time all set new pool records.
There were four other winners for the men on the afternoon.
Brad Ranson (Pennington, NJ/Hopewell Valley)claimed victory in the 50 free (24.44).
Joey Mulvehill (Penfield, NY/Penfield) was first in the 100 free (54.50).
Matt Plunkett (Fort Lauderdale, FL/Cooper City) was the winner of the 200 back (2:11.06).
Chris Farrell (Charlotte, NC/Rocky River) won the 400 free (4:21.54).
The 200 meter relay team of
Daniel MacElveen (Poughkeepsie, NY/Poughkeepsie), Torres, Ranson, and Mulvehill won with a time of 1:50.96. The 200 free relay squad of Mulvehill,
Evan DeGidio (Jacksonville, FL/Episcopal School),
Matt Behn (Windsor, NY/Windsor Central), and Ranson posted a winning time of 1:37.82 that set a new pool record.
Nazareth's Jeff Green, a sophomore, placed first in the 1-meter diving event as well as the 3-meter diving event. Freshman
Matt Leverich came in first in the 800-meter freestyle (9:06.84), second in the 100-meter freestyle (56.19),and second in the 400-meter freestyle (4:26.88).
Sophomore
Dan Burke placed first in the 100-meter backstroke, posting a time of 1:00.09. Burke also placed second in three other events. Senior
Tim Rappold placed second in the 100-meter breaststroke (1:10. 56)

Sean Doyle competed in the 200-meter medley relay and placed second with the time 1:55.01.
