NEW YORK, N.Y. (November 8, 2013) – The Stevens Institute of Technology women's swimming team opened competition at the 2013 New York University Fall Invitational in Manhattan Friday, competing in three events.
New York University leads the tri-meet with 75 points, Stevens is in second with 70 points and SUNY New Paltz is in third with 43 points.

Danielle Caruso won the 400-medley relay with a time of 4:02.04 to earn 24 points, with Caruso and sophomore
Elizabeth Heinbach tallying second and third in the 1,650-yard freestyle. The pair pocketed times of 17:45.13 and 18:02.15.
In the final event of the evening, junior

Jennifer Rutledge took second in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
The Ducks, Violets and Hawks will be back in action Saturday in the final day of competition at NYU.
